Greetings! With spring officially here, it’s hard to imagine that it’s been nearly five months since the last annual dinner. 2017 is proving to be fast-paced, action-packed and full of fun. For the past few years, the Board of Directors at the TTC have also questioned how we could possibly keep the momentum going for the club but, without a doubt, the quality of the events, attendance and enthusiasm for the TTC continues to grow.
That being said I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Board of Directors and event committees who put on the best events in our industry. I have heard endless comments from our membership and guests, about how this club exceeds expectations time and time again. Our board of Directors is truly a point of differentiation that propels us forward; thank you Team!
We have already been able to connect with the membership at our annual Winter Getaway, as well as our Marlies and Amsterdam Brewery Pop Up events. The New Members Reception was our largest ever and allowed over 70 people to meet our Board and to be introduced to North America’s largest traffic club; with an evening of fun, food and fellowship. A special thank you goes out to our event chair, Craig Germain, whose leadership made this an evening to remember.
Prior to our summer break we have a packed agenda with ‘Transportation Night’ first up on April 27th. It is a sell out once again and this year we have branded the event as the ‘Taste of Canada’ in recognition of the 150th anniversary of our great country. This night has been referred to as an ‘off season’ Annual Dinner and I expect this year to be as spectacular as in the past.
Also, fast approaching, is our Spring Golf Tournament being held on May 25th at Clublink Country Club and our Women in Transportation Lunch scheduled for June 13th at the fabulous Palais Royale. If you have not purchased your tickets for this line up, please do so or risk missing out on what will surely be an incredible time.
For our fall lineup, we have our Power of Education Tournament, Race Night at Woodbine as well as our our signature event – The Annual Dinner. In between you can expect at least one Pop Up event so stay tuned! All information is, or will be, on our website, so check it out for the most current details.
While spring is barely here, it is an important time of year for students getting acceptances to University and College and planning the next stage of their lives. The Toronto Transportation Club supports these dreams by offering financial assistance through its scholarship program. Please visit our website to get information on eligibility and the application process. The dates are coming up quickly.
